A Picture of Calvary
All of our dramas come in a REPRODUCIBLE Director’s Notebook. We invite you to step back in time with us, back over 2,000 years to the foot of an old rugged cross. As you do, you will meet people, not the characters of some fictional story, but real people who were a part of that scene so long ago. Some were believers; some were not. Some sought His death; others mourned it. But each had a unique response to that Roman cross and the One hanging there; the One on the center of three crosses. The One over Whose head the inscription was posted, “This is Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.”
So begins “A Picture of Calvary,” a program focusing on the response to Christ of 15 Bible characters. Full of Scripture, the powerful message of this play will challenge each one in your audience to think about their own response to Christ.
