Redemption’s Promise” - Emmaus Christian Academy, Emmaus, PA

April 1& 2, 2005

The pictures in these albums depict some of the exciting story of "Redemption's Promise," from Jason's adoption as the son of Antonius, a Roman Centurion, to his ill-fated attempt to steal weapons, leading to the capture and death of his best friend, Joel. The play incorporates much Scripture, telling of the life and death of Christ as Jason eventually realizes that Jesus came to bring salvation rather than freedom from the tyranny of Rome. His newfound faith results in his arrest and beating by Antonius, as the Centurion disowns him, a price Jason is willing to pay. "I cannot deny Him. My faith in Christ is not something I can put on and take off again like a cloak. Something inside of me changed when I accepted Him as my Savior! It is a change that will last for eternity!" The play's final reunions with Jason's mother and the slave girl, Ruth, as well as Antonius' salvation bring the play to a happy conclusion.
